Velemín
village · České středohoří
The service village on the southern side of Milešovka — bus connections from Prague, Lovosice, Litoměřice and Teplice make it the classic starting point for the highest hill of the range.
Velemín is the practical village of the Milešovka side of the range: shop, pub, and a bus stop on the square with connections from Prague, Lovosice, Litoměřice and Teplice — which is why so many ascents of Milešovka and walks through the Milešovské středohoří start or end here. Its scatter of hamlets (Bílý Újezd, Kletečná, Milešov, Opárno and others) sits all around the massif, so routes tend to pass through Velemín parish whichever line they take through these hills.
