Over Plešivec to Dobříš
Brdy , Point to point , hiked 9 March 2024
A 25.3 km Hřebeny traverse from Lochovice over Plešivec, with its Bronze Age ramparts and the Čertova kazatelna view, then the long forest ridge to Dobříš.
This route has one real climb at the start, then long, even forest kilometres. It is the kind of walking where you settle into a rhythm. March suits it well, with bare trees and empty trails.

From Lochovice station the red waymark climbs steadily to Plešivec, the summit of the day. The whole top is ringed by Bronze Age ramparts. From the Čertova kazatelna rock just below you look across the Litavka valley to the main Brdy ridge, the one big view of the day. Take your time here, because the rest of the route stays in the forest.
From Plešivec the red trail follows the wooded crest of the Hřebeny east. Forest roads go on for kilometres, with an occasional clearing. At the Čtyřmezí junction the yellow waymark takes over and drops off the ridge south into Dobříš. If you arrive with daylight, the château and its French garden are a good way to end the day. Buses and the branch line cover the return to Prague.
