Vlašim

village · Podblanicko

The main town of the Blaník country, with a château and a large English landscape park on the Blanice river — and the railway back towards Prague.

Vlašim is where Blaník walks tend to end: the town has the region’s railway connection (to Prague with a change at Benešov u Prahy), and its château park along the Blanice is a pleasant final stretch if there is time before the train.
