Lysá hora

A flat-topped 577 m basalt hill above Hlinná with tall frost-split rock columns on its slopes — its grassy flanks form the Holý vrch pasque-flower reserve.

Lysá hora is the flat-topped high point of the bare ridge country above Hlinná, six kilometres north of Litoměřice — geologically a remnant of a basalt lava flow that once poured into water, with frost-weathered columns over ten metres tall breaking out of its steeper slopes. Its open grassy flanks belong to the Holý vrch nature reserve with its pasque flowers, and the same openness is what makes the walking here so good: long views in most directions, with the Elbe valley below.

No regular marked trail crosses the hill — the discreetly marked Hlinná–Kamýk nature trail branches off above the village and is the usual way in.
