Korunka

A 30-metre steel lookout tower above Černolice, deliberately tilted 7.5° — more than the Tower of Pisa — with a crown-shaped top and views from Prague to the Brdy.

Korunka stands on the wooded hill Červená hlína (467 m) on the northern edge of Černolice, and it is hard to mistake for any other lookout tower: the steel hyperboloid leans 7.5 degrees off vertical — two degrees more than the Tower of Pisa — and flares at the top into the crown that gives it its name. It was opened in May 2022; 118 steps lead to the platform, which is freely accessible from March to November. The view takes in the Brdy ridge, the Berounka meanders below Černošice, the Cukrák transmitter and Prague, and on clear days reaches as far as the Šumava and the Krkonoše.
