Jedlová

An 853 m beech-covered hill dominating the Krušné hory scarp between Chomutov and Most, its steep slopes strewn with rock blocks and climbing towers.

Jedlová — locally also Jedlák — is the dominant hill of the stretch of the Krušné hory scarp between Chomutov and Most. Its steep southern slopes carry old beech forest broken by split rock blocks and towers; the best-known of them, the 17 m Jižní věž directly above Vysoká Pec, is a local climbers’ objective. For walkers the hill means one thing: whichever way you take from the foothill villages, the climb is steep, and the summit marks the point where the scarp gives way to the rolling plateau behind.
