Bouřňák

An 869 m summit of the eastern Krušné hory above Mikulov, carrying the range's first Czech tourist hut (1930) and a winter ski hill, with views south to the České středohoří.

Bouřňák — “the stormy one” — is one of the highest points of the eastern Krušné hory, standing on the plateau rim above the village of Mikulov. On the summit is the Chata Karla Líma, the first Czech tourist hut built in the Krušné hory (opened 1930, still run as a mountain hotel), and in winter the hill turns into a small ski area with pistes dropping towards Mikulov and Hrob. The southern rim position gives it the view the name promises weather for: on a clear day the whole panorama of the České středohoří lines up across the basin.
