Solanská hora

A three-topped forest massif (Solanská hora 638 m, Dlouhý vrch 618 m, Třtín 601 m) with no marked trail — its open summit slope gives one of the finest views over the lower Ohře basin.

Solanská hora is the highest of three tops on one long wooded ridge — Dlouhý vrch (618 m) and Třtín (601 m) continue it eastward — a remnant of a volcanic sheet of nepheline and limburgite rising over the villages of the southern rim. The slopes carry spruce and oak with patches of rock and boulder scree; no marked trail reaches the summit, which keeps the massif quiet even on fine weekends.

The draw is the summit slope itself: a broad, open, tilted meadow just under the top of Solanská hora, giving one of the finest wide views over the lower Ohře basin — Hazmburk, Říp and on clear days the Krušné hory across the whole horizon.
