Sedlo

The fourth-highest summit of the České středohoří — a 726 m volcanic plug with a sharp rocky ridge, protected as a nature reserve since 1968.

Sedlo is the highest point of the Verneřice part of the České středohoří and the dominant hill of the country around Úštěk and Liběšice. It is a volcanic plug: the summit ridge is a line of rock outcrops and scree, and near the top the columnar jointing of the tephrite forms a small “stone amphitheatre”. The summit area has been a nature reserve since 1968, protecting remnants of the original deciduous forest.

Marked trails climb it from several sides — Úštěk, Habřina, Trnobran, Horní Vysoká and Lovečkovice.
